A quiet studio for lasting houses.
Founded by Steve Pelak, Spagnolo & Pelak has spent more than a decade renovating the homes of Saint Louis with a small, dedicated crew and an old-world respect for the trades.
We work quietly — one house at a time, in close conversation with our clients and their architects. Every joint reveal, every stone course is handled by craftsmen we know by name.
The result is work that looks inevitable: kitchens that feel like they were always there, stonework that weathers into the site, millwork that is passed on rather than replaced.

The Craft
Slow work, honestly done.
We keep the trades in-house because craft cannot be sub-contracted on a timeline. Our painters, carpenters, and stone masons have worked together for years — they know each other's hands.
We measure twice, then again, then cut. We shim, we sand, we go back. It takes longer. It is meant to.
